Alejandro López

In his on-going youth and community work, Northern New Mexican native Alejandro López combines his skills in project management, multimedia arts, and experiential education.  For many years he worked with the National Indian Youth Leadership Project in Gallup where he led many creative community programs including PeaceJam and the Turtle Island National Service Learning Project. Alejandro is a regular contributor to the Green Fire Times of Santa Fe and hosts a weekly program on KDCE Radio, Española, which highlights the work of community champions. He holds a Masters in Arts Education from the University of the Arts, Philadelphia, where he studied and worked with Lily Yeh, founder of Barefoot Artists, an organization that carries out transformational work through the arts in some of the most challenged communities worldwide.
